AA archigroup began as the design office of Hyundai E&C’s Construction Department Architecture Office in 1965. It was rebranded as Hyundai Design & Architects in 2009 and was incorporated into Hyundai Motor Group in 2011. Eventually, it became independent from the Hyundai Motor Group and adopted the name AA Archigroup in 2022.

CEO Han stated, “When discussing AA archigroup’s identity, we cannot overlook its history as a subsidiary of Hyundai E&C and Hyundai Motor Group,” and “I believe that AA archigroup’s unique practical design capabilities, which arise from its experience as a subsidiary of a large corporation, will significantly aid in tackling the global market.” He added, “The skills of the members who actively engaged in the transformation process into Hyundai E&C’s Architectural Department Design Office, Hyundai General Design, and AA archigroup are also valuable assets of AA archigroup.”
