An expert analysis feature titled “K-Architecture at a Crossroads” was published in the Focus section of the January 26 print and online editions of Korea Economic Daily Construction.

In this special series, Byungwook Lee, Executive Vice President of the Global Business Division at AA archigroup, participated alongside experts from academia and the industry. The discussion emphasized the need to view overseas markets not as short-term project opportunities but as arenas for long-term growth, and to restructure industry roles and systems to support this shift.

During the roundtable, Lee highlighted the importance of a “Team Korea”-style collaborative framework involving academia, industry, and the public sector to secure leading roles in overseas projects. He also stressed the need for integrated project capabilities that enable participation from the early planning stages. In addition, he pointed to the domestic architecture and construction industry’s strengths—rapid execution and strong on-site response—and noted that these advantages should be reflected from the initial planning phase.
