Sunpark Technical Seminar – Latest Applications of Terracotta & BIPV
On June 25, a technical seminar organized by the Technology Research Institute was held at the 6F Town Hall of the headquarters. The seminar aimed to enhance understanding of the latest terracotta cladding methods and share industry trends.
Mr. Yoonkyu Lee, CEO of Sunpark, presented project cases featuring terracotta façades with design elements, highlighting diverse design expression techniques using terracotta. He also introduced Sunpark’s upcoming BIPV system and forecasted an increase in BIPV applications driven by the mandatory Zero-Energy Building regulation for private buildings from 2025.
Mr. Seokjong Hong, Principal Researcher of the Technology Research Institute, explained the background and history of open-joint exterior systems such as terracotta. Mr. Johyun Jung, Director, announced that technology and material seminars will be held regularly once a month going forward.
