Sunpark Technical Seminar – Latest Applications of Terracotta & BIPV
On June 25, the Technology Research Institute hosted a technical seminar at the 6F Town Hall of AA headquarters, focusing on terracotta cladding innovations and emerging industry trends.
Mr. Yoonkyu Lee, CEO of Sunpark, showcased a series of projects featuring terracotta façades, emphasizing the material’s versatility in architectural expression. He also introduced Sunpark’s upcoming BIPV system and noted that adoption of BIPV is expected to accelerate with the mandatory Zero-Energy Building regulation for private buildings beginning in 2025.
Mr. Seokjong Hong, Principal Researcher at the Technology Research Institute, provided insight into the history and development of open-joint exterior systems such as terracotta. Concluding the event, Mr. Johyun Jung, Director, announced that technology and material seminars will now be held on a monthly basis.
